About Jean…

For nearly 25 years I served as the director of the Louisville Writing Project at the University of Louisville, working with K-12 teachers in their classrooms to improve student achievement in writing. For 30 years I've also served as Kentucky Writing Project Director, developing lessons and writing resources.

I believe in modeling for students the strategies we hope they will try in their writing, using mentor texts to inspire both topic selection and craft.
